Slobodan Filipović - Secretary of State for Ministry of Defence of Montenegro 


Slobodan Filipović was born in Bijelo Polje on 20 May 1977. He finished Elementary and High School in Mojkovac and graduated from Law Faculty in Podgorica, in 2002. 

He started his working career at the Municipality of Podgorica, within the Secretariat for development of entrepreneurship, in 2003. 

He worked in Customs administration of Montenegro from 2005 to 2012, as an advisor in the Department of revenue collection and treatment of customs goods, advisor in the Sector for planning, analysis and statistical reporting, head of the Director of Customs's Cabinet, head of the branch office of Airport Podgorica and head of the Regional Unit of the Customs Office in Podgorica. 

In 2012 he was assigned the duty of Deputy Director of the Police Directorate of Montenegro in the Department of Human Resources, Legal Affairs, Telecommunication and Information Systems. 

He later occupied the position of General Director of the Directorate of Labour, in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, in July 2013. 

From 2 April 2015, he worked as Secretary of the Ministry of Education. 

He was a member of the Social Council of Montenegro, Chief of the working group for negotiation and accession of Montenegro to the European Union, for Chapter 19 - Social policy and employment.

He is currently a President of the Governing Board of the Police Academy in Danilovgrad and Board member of the Handball Federation of Montenegro.

He took over the duty of the Secretary of State for Ministry of Defence of Montenegro from 2 December 2016.
